Jim Krajewski Reno Gazette Journal Published 6:07 PM EST Feb 15, 2019 The final regular-season games to determine basketball playoff seedings, including the High Desert League boys title, were delayed for at least one day, due to the snowy weather and difficult driving conditions on Friday. The Washoe County School District canceled school on Friday, which meant that athletics were also postponed. So, the Spanish Springs at Reed boys game, for first place in the High Desert League, will be played at 4 p.m. Saturday at Reed, weather permitting. More: Spanish Springs at Reed is key game to wrap up prep basketball season The Cougars beat the Raiders by seven points in their first meeting (64-57), meaning Reed would have to win on Saturday by seven or more to get first place in the High Desert League. There is also a lot on the line in the girls standings and the Spanish Springs at Reed game at 2 p.m Saturday will determine the High Desert League No. 2 seed for the Regional tournament. The Cougars won the first meeting by 19 (65-46).
