Assad savages ‘thief’ Erdogan and vows to retake whole of Syria as Putin backs Turkey invasion

SYRIAN tyrant Bashar Assad has blasted Turkish leader Tayyip Erdogan as a “thief” as he vowed to take back control of his country. The bloodthirsty dictator made a rare visit to the frontline in Idlib province – part of which his troops recently seized from Turkey-backed rebels. A ceasefire in Syria ended this evening which saw the fighting between Kurdish forces and Assad’s men end for five days. The Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) were forced to join sides with Assad and Russia earlier this month after being abandoned by the US after Donald Trump pulled his soldiers out of the war zone. With the war now in its eighth year, capturing the Idlib area would be an important victory for Assad, who has steadily recovered control of rebellious areas with Russian and Iranian support.
