At $8,500, Does This 1990 Chevy Beretta Indy Pace Car Deserve A Shot?
The traditional quaff in the winner’s circle at the Indy 500 may be milk, but as today’s Nice Price or Crack Pipe Chevy proves, the race’s pace cars have to be a little flashier than a plain old bottle of moo juice. Let’s see how excited you could get over this older Indy pacer’s price. According to Kelly Blue Book, the average transaction price for a new car in 2019 is just north of $37,000. Of course, nobody wants to be average and that’s why used cars like yesterday’s 2015 Porsche Macan S—which also happened to be $37,000—are such an attractive proposition. Advertisement Oh sure, the purists may want to spend their Porsche pennies on something a little lower to the ground, but as was pointed out by many of you in the comments, if you’re going to get on the crossover caravan, the Macan is a fine contender in which to do so. That price tag just sweetened the deal with a narrow 53 percent Nice Price win for the … [Read more...] about At $8,500, Does This 1990 Chevy Beretta Indy Pace Car Deserve A Shot?

According to The Information, the ridesharing company plans to spend up to $500 million this year on ads intended to salvage its image. The ads are part of a larger branding campaign that started rolling out last month in the U.S. with CEO Dara Khosrowshahi promising a better culture for employees, riders, and passengers in TV ads. “One of our core values as a company is to always do the right thing,” he says in one spot. “And if there are times when we fall short, we commit to being open, taking responsibility for the problem, and fixing it. Area man’s superpower is eating Chipotle for 500 days straight
An Ohio man named Bruce Wayne—oh sure it is—has decided to end his streak of eating at his local Chipotle daily after doing so for 500 consecutive days. We could be snarky and cynical and say Wayne’s superpower is his blindness to variety, but you know what? Good for him. He told local TV station WNWO that Chipotle aligns with his diet and that he wanted to break the chain’s record of eating there for 425 straight days. Wayne broke that record on Dec. 30, 2017 and continued through last Wednesday—a streak he documented through his Instagram account. Advertisement And also, Wayne dresses up as Batman for charity appearances and takes care of mentally disabled adults. He seems to be doing more good for this world than any of us keyboard ninjas have, and for that, we raise a burrito in your general direction. … [Read more...] about Area man’s superpower is eating Chipotle for 500 days straight
