How to Disable and Remove Chromecast in Google Chrome

Sending videos to a Chromecast-enabled device can be handy, but not everyone wants this feature. In fact, it can be a big annoyance and cause issues. We’ll show you how to remove the Chromecast button from the Google Chrome web browser. The “Google Cast” icon will appear on videos in Google Chrome if you have a Chromecast-enabled device on the same network as your computer browser. If that device isn’t yours, you may never want to accidentally cast to it. Thankfully, the button can be disabled. RELATED: What's the Difference Between Chromecast and Android TV? How to Turn on HDR Video Recording on iPhone

A key headlining feature of modern iPhones is their ability to shoot HDR videos. But since HDR clips take up more space and most people don’t have compatible displays to watch them in their full glory, the HDR feature is off by default. Here’s how to enable it. HDR stands for High Dynamic Range. It’s a high-end feature that allows for better color reproduction in any given scene. When HDR is enabled, your iPhone is able to record a wider gamut of colors, and more accurately balances the contrast of the frame’s darkest and lightest areas. On top of this, the iPhone’s HDR capability supports Dolby Vision , which helps the target screen make the most out of all the extra visual data. To enable HDR video on your iPhone, first, open the “Settings” app, and then scroll down to the Camera option. Next, select “Record Video.” Finally, toggle on “HDR Video (High Efficiency).” Note: On the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini, HDR videos are capped at 30 frames per second. How to See Classic Window Labels on Windows 10’s Taskbar

Remember the good ol’ days when you could see the names of open windows listed directly on the Windows taskbar ? Thanks to a setting in Windows 10, we can easily get that feature back. Here’s how. First, right-click the Taskbar and select “Taskbar settings.” (You can also find this same screen by heading to Settings > Personalization > Taskbar.) By default, Windows 10 hides open application windows under a single taskbar button that looks like the app’s icon. We’re going to change that. In Taskbar settings, click the menu labeled “Combine taskbar buttons.” In the pop-up list that appears, select “Never.” Instantly, you’ll notice that any open windows listed on your taskbar now show labels as well as the app icon. If you’re happy with that, close Settings, and you’re all set. It’s like Windows 95 all over again! Well, almost. If you change your mind, you can always undo it by selecting “Always hide labels” in the “Combine taskbar buttons” menu. Happy … [Read more...] about How to See Classic Window Labels on Windows 10’s Taskbar
