As awesome as scraping is for saving you tons of time, it does have a few down sides. It takes a long, long, time on a moderate to large size library. Have a thousand movies and dozens of TV shows saved? You'll be leaving it to run for hours. Any time you make changes, move things, reinstall XBMC, etc., you'll end up scraping all over again which can get a bit tedious. The other down side is the limitations of scrapers. For most genres they are fine, but sometimes you'll find that they don't have the artwork you want or even any info at all about your media. China’s booming facial recognition industry is steadying for global expansion. In September, the facial recognition company Megvii, owner of Face++, was reportedly valued at over $1 billion, though Hong Kong delayed an IPO last month. In a new in-depth report, the Financial Times points out that telecoms like ZTE, Dahua and China Telecom are lobbying the UN’s International Telecommunication Union (ITU) for international facial recognition regulations–a red line for human rights advocates, who feel that companies shouldn’t be making up the standards.
